"We arrived and there wasn’t anyone to greet us. Parking was only enough to fit 6 cars. We checked in and went to see the room. There was mould in the cupboard - door was broken. Mould on the ceiling in the shower. Shower pole broken. The blinds were broken and only One window opened. Paint chipped everywhere and looked completely different to the photos we had seen. "The hotel is quite basic but the location for me was excellent and there is plenty of convenient parking. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The piece de resistance however, is the food here. The food is really excellent and I enjoyed the two dinners I ate here very much. There is a superb selection of freshly cooked food and a bar with good drinks to accompany. For this reason alone I would not hesitate to return to the hotel. "

"What a lovely, quiet, peaceful place to stay. We had two nights here and wish we had booked more. Bertrand was so helpful. You need a car to stay here, and sat nav to find it but that is the beauty of the place. There is a nice pool and a library / billiards room. Breakfast was fresh and locally sourced. "A beautiful guest house a few streets away from the beach in the middle of a quaint town. Walking distance to great restaurants, boutiques and bakeries. The host family is extremely friendly. The house is grand and it has an amazingly landscaped yard that's like an oasis with very hard to find parking spaces in the town of etretat. Highly recommended. "

"Please note the town shuts down at 8 PM. They close the hotel and do NOT wait for you to check in. Fortunately a much nicer hotel was down by the actual beach and accommodated us. It worked out bc it was a far superior hotel and not much more money compared to the new Windsor. Stay somewhere else but def visit Etretat. "
