"After my girlfriend could not come on the vacation due to appendicitis, I decided to travel to Alora solo. The region is just stunning and David and Wendy were extremely accommodating and made me feel right at home . I have never woken up to such a stunning view. "Great hotel for a 2 star. I think it deserves 3! It's nice to be welcomed by an actual person unlike many places nowadays. Receptionist was lovely & spoke great English. Hotel is very clean & well-maintained. Romms are comfy, great bathroom & shower. Fantastic location also."

"Antonio was amazing during check out! We felt appreciated and enjoyed our stay a lot! Nice spacious rooms and bathrooms, extremely clean and tidy! The pillows were the best! The food at the hotel restaurant is amazing! Definitely a memorable experience! "

"A two night stop over to undertake some business and catch up with some old friends. The Hotel itself was a pleasure and very comfortable with welcoming staff. To arrive by car, be wary of the narrow (occasionally very narrow) streets and you will need to park off site, about a 5-to-10-minute walk away, depending on how fit you are. Best to drop off any luggage first. There is an excellent restaurant right next door called the Ca n'Amatolox, run by Chef Sergi, who very accommodating despite there only being 1 or 2 of us there. Best to book in advance as he has other ventures, but his food was amazing."

"An excellent stay at the Hostal Duran. The place is clean and well manged by the lovely owners and staff. The Hostal is centrally located with good public transport links, the bus stop for the Caminito del Rey is only a hundred metres away and the train station is around 15 minutes walk or a bus from the same above stop, all restaurants and bars are on your doorstep. A recommendation, choose a room with a panoramic view (Terrace), the views to the castle are wonderful."
