Calahorra is the second largest city in La Rioja, and though it’s notable for its agricultural production, you’ll also find vestiges of a remarkable past. The Town Hall, a beautiful red-brick building from 1561, looks over the mall. The main façade has two towers on either side, both crowned with a cross. The roundabout located opposite the Town Hall is home to a statue in honour of Marcus Fabius Quintilian, a Roman rhetorician and teacher who was born in the city.

The most important finding is the marble bust known as La Dama Calagurritana, the symbol of the city.
As for religious sites, the highlight is the Cathedral of Santa María, a Gothic temple from the 17th century.
