"Lisbon was our last stop after being in Portugal for 10 days. Although our stay at Esqina was fine, it was not as cozy as I was hoping it would be. I can't ding them on ratings, and I haven't stayed in other hotels in Lisbon, but it didn't feel like a 4 star hotel based on other places I've stayed in Europe. The bathroom was tiny and the lighting was odd. It felt more like a basic travel lodge, versus a cosmopolitan hotel. With that said, the location was great, breakfast was good. "

"I checked in on my 40th birthday and the front desk had upgraded my room without even requesting. We went out for dinner and the room was decorated with local bottle of bubbles, cake, chocolates and lavender pouches. Really made my day special! The indoor pool is nice with warm water! "

"Had a wonderful stay, location is perfect. The train station is right at the door, shops and restaurants, churches and trams right there. It's a lovely area to stay, very vibrant even in the off season. Walkable to tourist areas. Our room was very spacious, clean and had a fridge. Wifi worked well. Bathroom was a nice size. *Note there are no tea/coffee in the room.* Breakfast was lovely, huge variety and in a large room. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!"

"Spent 3 nights at this hotel and we loved it! Staffs are amazing and very friendly. Room was ready by noon. Tons of shops and restaurants around the hotel. Location is unbeatable, in the heart of everything! 15 mins walk to Time Out Market. 2 mins walk to the main shopping strip. Jazz performance every night between 7-8pm. "The hotel is very central on the Rua Augusta which is what we wanted. It’s on a pedestrianised street full of shops, restaurants and bakeries. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Arco da Rua Augusta and Praça do Comercio. Easy to catch a tram to Belem Tower and Jeroniomos Monastery. We walked to all other tourist attractions in about 30 mins , but we like that. Excellent little hotel!! "
