"What a beautiful stay in a stunning setting. The owner and staff were so welcoming and hospitable, the restaurant was so delicious, the rooms spacious and cool. Whoever designed the landscaping did such an amazing job. We were worried that our need for wifi would be affected being in such a remote area. No issues at all. Highly recommending staying there. We hope to return again."

Very quiet, other than the periodic bangs during the night of the adjacent rice farmer scaring off the birds from his fields. A few minor nits: a very firm (hard) bed, somewhat inconvenient handheld shower, no washcloths."

"We took a last minute 2-day trip to St. Gilles on a holiday weekend. The lodging was very comfortable and very reasonably priced, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that they had an elevator. We didn’t have a chance to check out the restaurant, but it looked pleasant. Only downside was fish smell in the lobby from the dining room."

The restaurant is pleasant, well attended, with a superb chef, offering excellent 3 course dinners. "The hotel is as you would expect - basic, but clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and the pastries in particular were very good. Only negatives: (1) the AC in my room needed a service. The fan was incredibly noisy on the high setting, so I turned it to low.
