Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel was in a great location, close to everything , the train station is next door too. It's a good base for travelling around the peak district . The hotel was clean , the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. Id recommend staying here.

enjoyable, spotlessly clean, faded grandeur we visited for a concert & weren’t sure what to expect of the hotel exceeded expectations! The towels, toiletries & shower were all as good as more expensive place. Impossible for a big hotel of this age to compete with the new builds. I wasn’t too happy about the room.i was here 3 weeks ago and had a much better room for the same price. It was too high up(3rd floor) broken toilet seat, tv remote not working, window banging all night waking us up, one of the beds seemed to be tipping over to one side. Really enjoyed the spa and Hannah was amazing. The pool was still cold but bearable. Will be returning often.

The hotel is a beautiful building. Full of architecture . It is very close to the town. The bed was hard but we managed to sleep. Nice and warm in the hotel. The coffee was great. We had dinner. It was a very good buffet. Breakfast good too.
