"The room I had was roomy and clean, bathroom/shower again clean and spacious. Equipment and white goods suited my needs. Entrance to the room a little dark as outside lights didn't react early enough. Overall I would book again if in that area."

"Positives: Clear instructions for the location and parking Heating had been turned on prior to our arrival Fridge had individual butter, milk and jam plus washing things were provided Unfortunately the negatives are much more plentiful: We sat on the sofa and the leg immediately fell off causing the sofa to collapse. "Lovevly night away! Hosts made it so easy and hassle free. Room was very clean, had a peaceful nights sleep! Had dinner down the road in a pub called the wheatsheaf! Which was very nice! Rutland water is only a 15min drive! Thanks again to the host! "

"Bad stay - the host did not send me check in details on the day of check in so I had to chase her up and she didn't even apologise for the hassle. One of the mattresses is so uncomfortable, you can Feel the springs. If you travel as 2 the host locks the bedroom doors for 1 room, is there any need? Overall, the place is okay but the hassle is not worth it "

"Lovely little house, with everything you need for a home from home. Downsides- there is child lock on the Wi-fi, not good for a tradesman working away. Cold house- woke up every morning shivering. Wasn’t sure how to set heating timer. And next door there are elderly neighbours who must be deaf- they are night owls and I’m sure their tv is directly opposite the wall of bed stand. "Overall, a great stay. The hotel isn’t pretty from the outside, but it makes up for it inside. I found the rooms to be more modern than other Mercure Hotels that I have stayed in. The breakfast was excellent. Plenty to choose from and fresh too. Great value for money and would definitely stay there again."

"My partner and I came here for our 4 year anniversary with our Westie, Stanley. Overall, we cannot fault the place! The room we had was lovely and spacious, the food was beautiful and the staff were all extremely accommodating and helpful, especially to our Stanley. Stanley has thoroughly enjoyed his stay and has been spoilt rotten by the staff! We cannot thank you all enough for how welcome and comfortable you made us feel! We've already rebooked for my birthday in December 😊"

"Excellent value stay, much better than one of the bigger chains at this price point. The rooms were spacious and clean, our only frustrations were the car park flood lights which shone into the bedroom through the night, and then the early morning food delivery that was unloaded just outside the bedrooms. But I think we were just unlucky on both. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast included in our rate was first class. Will definitely stay again "
