The hotel was a reasonable price and had everything I could wish for - especially wonderful staff and a clean and secure environment. I felt very well looked after from the moment that I checked in. The parking was convenient and the rate was competitive for the area. I love the location and the historic San Francisco flavor of both the neighborhood and the property itself. The hotel does not offer air conditioning, but the room I had was well-ventilated and equipped with a quiet, but efficient, ceiling fan. San Francisco is famously cool at night most of the year anyway. I look forward to staying at the Chancellor again and recommend it highly."

"Beautiful historic hotel within walking distance of the Masonic. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and beautiful and our room had a nice view of the city. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell of the shampoo and soap provided by the hotel. "
