"Excellent resort. Our villa (on stilts) was quiet, had all the expected amenities and more, and overlooked the lake, although the boardwalk did have a significant people drifting passed, particularly to the restaurant. Food excellent; staff very helpful. Wine expensive. Was given a villa to stay after check-out before a late airport departure, very much appreciated. 2 minor concerns: our villa was always cleaned late (after 2pm) which meant we had to wait before going back there after lunch....

"Where to start? Alain & Marie were excellent answering all questions before our arrival organising including airport transfers and hire car (essential to get round). The villa is amazing, very clean, and has a very peaceful energy which a great reflection on the owners. The views of the ocean are something to behold l swear. "Belle Mare is well run with lots of staff to assist. Beach and pools are well maintained. Golf is excellent and easily available - free for residents which is great for 18 holes whenever and twilight 9 holes. Definitely will come back. "

"The location is great and the entire property setting is beautiful. The rooms are nice and we had a lagoon room which feels even more private. The Japanese restaurant is very nice, overall the food is good. It’s still one of the great resorts in the Indian Ocean. "

"We spent 3 days at the bubble lodge in the ocean bubble and it was an unforgettable experience, everything was beautiful! The only improvement needed is for the AC in the bubble, it needs to be stronger as it can get very warm early in the morning. This aside everything else is perfect. Only the lodge guests can stay on the island at night so we had the beach only for us after 5pm, when the last shuttle leaves. "We were on our honeymoon. The place was placed nicely when considering the beach. The pool area and downstairs bar area are very nice. We did enjoy those. The "all inclusive" was just too expensive. There wasn't any benefit (other than free drinks & lunch) that made the price worth it. We could not eat enough food or drink enough to even come close to the price. Anyway, thanks for a great time!!"
