I had a bad experience between the desk staff and Expedia and I believe it's the latter that made it so difficult to work out. This needs to be mentioned because both made it near impossible fix what should have been a simple glitch in the booking website.
The hotel needs some minor fixing up like tables and furniture where the finish is rubbing off at the edges and marks on the wall bumpers etc. New carpeting might be needed to be honest. The staff are nice, the hotel restaurant menu could be expanded but for the most part their food is ok. I don't know how to describe this but hotels in the US just are no where near as nice as they are in Europe, it's like the US is a run down country. Paying the same rate for a room in Spain or Greece will get you much better accommodations. Compared to other hotels I've stayed in here in the US over the past five years I'd say this is a bit better than the norm but still it could really be improved.
