The overall service was great. However, my family did not really enjoy our stay for 2 main reasons. First, outside food is not allowed, and the hotel has limited food choices. We had to go out and find food. Second, during our stay, there were wedding events every single day. They party until 10PM, so all of us including my toddler was awake until after 10PM because we can hear the very loud music and very loud people in our room.

The service here was pretty good. I liked the extra effort they made at the pool with little treats and how they’d bring water. The food was also good (I’d have to say better than Shangri La) and I liked that they had different themes nights tho it was a bit pricey relatively. They had a great drink menu and a wide range of cuisines / dishes. I think the service could be a bit more proactive and consistent. Check in was a bit odd but I think I had someone who was a bit off. They didn’t give me a tour or explanation of the property, just told me my room wasn’t ready and then nothing else. I traveled alone and sometimes that throws people off for some reason. I did notice I got treated differently than couples and families. One thing I really did not appreciate is people (and staff) saving beach chairs for people who didn’t use them for several hours like 4 . The beach isn’t big and only certain chairs get sun. Overall I would stay here again. The spa treatment was very good, also much better than my experience at Shang tho the facilities aren’t as impressive.

PROS: Quiet area. The hotel is at the far side of station 1 which is away from the noise and crowd of station 2. It gives you a sense of solace when swimming due to minimal crowds. The walk to station 2 by the beach is ~15 mins (or you can use an etrike for quick convenience). Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. They kept all areas clean round-the-clock and amenities well stocked. Their airport pick-up and drop off is a HUGE stress reliever. CON: After riding the van from the airport to the check in area, just prior to the boat to boracay, we were told to sit and asked for our IDs. After a few mins, it was time to ride the boat, or so I thought. The boat left without me but they took my bagagge. When the tourists before and after me have left the premises and I was alone, I sensed something was wrong. I asked around and asked how long the wait is and they said 5mins. Then I heard one staff exclaim a shocked expression before approaching me. He claimed he called me for the boat ride which was a LIE since I’ve been sitting in the same chair. Considering the check in area is small, I would’ve heard it. Plus, I heard them when they asked for my ID, why would I not hear him for the boat ride? I don’t want to stay forever at the check in area, let alone be separated from my luggage. As patient as I was since mistakes happen, he kept insisting that he did call me which increased my irritability (the jetlag and lack of sleep did not help). Thankfully my bag was secure.

Overall experience was fantastic! My only complain is PLEASE INSTALL a ceiling fan in the lobby as it got so hot for us while we were checking it. A couple other guests agreed with me too when I mentioned it.

Disappointing: No Refund After Natural Disaster
My airline canceled my trip due to Typhoon Carina, so we couldn’t make it to our reservation. We returned to the USA feeling very frustrated by the ruined trip. The hotel won’t refund our unused reservation and is only offering a rebooking option in two months, even after I explained that we live in the US and have no plans to return to the Philippines due to our negative experience. To make matters worse, The Lind Boracay seems indifferent to our situation. While I understand that hotels typically don’t refund canceled bookings, a natural disaster seems like a valid exception. I recommend considering Crimson Boracay instead; I've heard they provide excellent service. The Lind seems like a poor choice.

Staff are very attentive, pleasant and organized. Kudos to Brian from reception area and to the guys from the shuttle services from airport to hotel. Their services are beyond our expectations. We will surely recommend Lind nit just being a good hotel but the people who worked there.

Positives: Our room was beautiful with a great view of the beach and sea. The food was good. Negatives: We stayed at the resort 6 nights, of which weddings took place on 3 days over that period, taking over the resort. The resort isn’t really big enough to host both weddings and normal guests in its grounds. The general service level was quite poor. The staff are friendly and welcoming but lack a degree of competence. Examples would be: orders from the bar/restaurant either taking a long time or not coming at all, tables not cleared and information communicated to the front desk not registered or ignored.

The hotel was wonderful! At the restaurant side, Aya and Nikko provided great service for 4 days. My 8 yr old nephew was swimming for 4 days and Mark (Lifeguard) did a superb job in watching him. Thank you to all hotel staff! Very memorable!
