Very simple but nice and clean accommodations, breakfast was very good, snacks and water throughout the day and an evening light meal was available all included, for the price it can’t be beat! The staff was also very friendly! Easy access less than 10 minutes drive if you’re in the area for Phantasialand

Beautiful hotel.
Beautiful hotel, which had a huge flood disaster back in 2021, they have done amazingly well to rebuild from. Only issue is, they have a staffing problem in the evenings at the moment so cant provide a dinner service, they did put on a free snack buffet, but we needed more so drove 3 minutes to the neighbouring town to get some dinner. Otherwise a great hotel. With a selection of treats and fruit available all day.

Good business class hotel with some minor drawback
Very impressive historic property - former monastery - which has been renovated to high standards. Quiet bedrooms with excellent furnishings, and very good mattresses & bedding provided. Also, bathrooms are excellent.. Breakfast options are plentiful and service for breakfast room is very friendly. There are some minor drawbacks though: there are no window covers, curtains or shades (at least not in my corner room). This, you cannot "darken" the rooms at night. The Internet WIFI signal is somewhat weak. Also, i got "stuck" in the one and only elevator several times, when the lift doors just wouldn't want to close properly. It's also a long way from the parking lot to the hotel rooms. Onsite staff presence is quite limited in the early morning, evening and on weekends - and F&B options are very limited after breakfast (only 'snack buffet" in the lobby). Overall I had a nice enough stay, but you need to thoroughly check whether the hotel fits your needs. In general it did that fore and at an acceptable cost rate, too.

Ein wunderschönes Schloss in Laufnähe zum Phantasialand. Das edle Hotel lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig und es wird sich bemüht auf besondere Anforderungen einzugehen. Einziges Manko: Schlechter WLAN-Empfang auf den Zimmern.

Besonders Positiv: das gesamte Personal vor allem das Personal an der Rezeption. Auch das Frühstück fanden wir sehr gut und das kostenfrei den ganzen Tag Kaffe, Tee, Wasser und Snacks zur Verfügung stehen. Die Zimmer waren ok. Leider etwas hellhörig. Wir würden trotzdem jederzeit wieder kommen 😊

Es war ein schöner und gemütlicher Aufenthalt für meine Nichte und mich. Das Frühstücks Buffet hatte genügend Auswahl um satt zu werden. Und auch die Dame am Empfang war sehr freundlich. Ich würde das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

The room is nice and the breakfast is good. Chapeau for the renovations in the last three years. The original details give a good sense of how it used to be. Room was not really clean but fine for the stay.

Nous avons passé deux nuits à l'hôtel. Nous recommandons ce lieu. C'était très accueillant et le petit déjeuné était un régal. L'hôtel est proche du parc Phantasialand où nous nous sommes rendu.

Es ist ein riesen Gebäude, früher einmal ein Kloster, nun Hotel. Samt Kirche etc. Das Hotel ist groß, hell, sehr sauber und das Gelände weitläufig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider ist das Restaurant aufgrund Personalmangels geschlossen, allerdings stehen "überall" kleine, kostenfreie Snacks herum, Obst, Kuchen, Plätzchen. Es gibt auch ein Kühlschrank mit Getränken - Cola Bier etc kostet. die Flasche Wasser ist for free. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Ich habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Der nächste Köln Besuch endet bestimmt hier.
