Not only is Binz Beach known for its location in a protected area of Prorer Wiek Bay, but it is also famed for its great water quality. Join the people of all ages who come to enjoy the waves and the sand and go for strolls along the promenade.
For an adventurous day out, sign up for a watersports activity through one of the local operators. Water ski through the deep blue waves, rent a pedal boat and have a leisurely day in the sun, or learn the proper techniques for sailing as you take a sailboat out into the Baltic Sea.
If you prefer to stay dry, bring a book to read as you sit in a colorful beach chair and listen to the sounds of people splashing down by the shore. Build a sandcastle from bright white sand, or simply lather up with sunscreen and spread out a towel to rest and relax. Binz Beach is open daily, with the more popular seasons being summer and early fall, before the weather gets colder. Signs along the beach point to specially designated areas, including space for people who have brought dogs. Take the train to Binz station from where it’s an easy walk to the beachfront.
