"I arrived with a confirmation in hand and hadn’t expected any difficulty checking in but I spent over an hour but that certainly wasn’t the hotel’s fault! I used points from a Hotels.com gift card to pay for the room and the desk clerk said the card had been declined. Lots of time on the phone, working with several reps, but it was the desk clerk who finally got it straightened out. The last rep I had spoken to said she’d move me to a different hotel. That seems silly to me—just get the card...
