"Lovely place to stay, room nicely appointed, staff friendly and helpful and set in tranquil location with ample grounds. Restaurant and bar area, including outdoor dining space also very nice and make the most of the old converted water mill building. Did not eat on this occasion but did a few months ago but from what I saw, nothing has changed and it would not disappoint. All in all will definitely return either to stay or just to dine."

"The service at this hotel is impeccable ! From check-in with Emmy to the hostess in the restaurant and the waiters and waitress, nothing was too much. The room was huge with comfy beds. The toiletries are lovely. The bathroom had a large, roll top bath and a large walk-in shower. Within the town centre, everything is a short walk including the RSC, Shakespeare’sbirth place and his tomb. Stratford is a lovely town with numerous good restaurants, a night life and good shopping?"

"We stayed overnight with friends in another room. Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant which was nice. Breakfast was also very enjoyable. Bar closed at 10pm although signage indicated it would be open till 11 it wasn’t a massive issue but why put a sign up if it’s not the case."

"A lovely inn in the Cotswolds and close driving distance to many other little towns. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable and the rooms were just as depicted. Would definitely recommend!"

"Stayed overnite while attending a concert at Ragley hall. The hotel we’re hosting a wedding and unfortunately there was very little space to sit and relax during the day and on our return the bar had closed at 10.30 and we were told to head to the wedding bar if we wanted a drink, don’t think the bride and groom would have been too chuffed . As a guest would have been nice to have felt a little more hospitality, don’t think the hotel should be renting rooms out when a wedding is on."

"The atmosphere and ambience was wonderful in this historic old inn and staff were very friendly. The pub was gret but no food is available because they are no longer running the restaurant. Conveniently located for touring the Cotswolds and Stratford on Avon by car Biggest issie is very poor wifi in rooms except on phones, ipad connectons dropped off as soon as you leave the main pub area "
