"The food in The Lion was first class, and the service from Elisha and Mark. However the room had a few problems 1 the hot water was scolding instantly and no mixer , if any child opens the hot tap they woild have 3rd degree burns. 2 the coffee machine had no water chamber ( missing ) 3 there was no bulb in the table lamp Room was clean just not maintained regular in my opinion , ive been in the trades for 40 years so all the jobs would take an hour After saying that i would still stay...

"Lovely grade II listed Manor House. Unfortunately due to the poor weather we were unable to enjoy the extensive grounds. The whole place is well decorated and clean but keeps many period features including wood panels and stone work. Service was first class and the food excellent. I can highly recommend this venue."

Great Stay!

"Had a really lovely stay at The Heyford. The staff are very welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Our room was lovely, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony, very clean and comfortable. Whilst there aren’t any facilities outside of the hotel other than Sainsbury’s opposite we felt this didn’t matter as you can drive to so many fabulous places. The hotel has a bar with drinks and food, pool tables, bowling alleys and a lovely restaurant. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Room was overall very good but let down by shower drain blocked with hair etc. Bed was comfortable but the underblanket was stained. Staff were friendly and helpful although the waiting staff in the dining room should have been more attentive. Details meant as constructive criticisms. Overall very good and we would stay again."

Sweet, cosy cottage

"We stayed here as a base for the Game Fair and it was a great location for that. We didn’t really explore the area much but we did get pizza from The Hertford which was good. There wasn’t any garden chairs and is it was lovely weather this was a bit amid a shame as the domino was in the courtyard a fair bit. The cottage was pretty, tidy, clean and cosy. No welcome package was a bit of a shame as this has become pretty standard for holiday cottages and the garden was overrun with bindweed which made it look a little unkempt. "
