The property owners: Chantal & Alain were very welcoming and went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful, in fact it felt more like being at home and meeting up with old friends. It was also a perfect opportunity for us to practice our poor french, with very patient teachers!! We loved Besancon and would recommend Doubs Reves for anyone that is looking for a more personalised type of B&B in a quiet location steeped in history.

Alan and Chantel are the perfect hosts, make you feel most welcome. Tha room is beautiful and wants for nothing. The property is ideally located to walk to city but is in a very quiet location. Loved it.

Amazing host and room
ALAIN is the perfect host. The place has only one rental, the main area is a reasonable size and overlooks his garden. You have you own separate entrance. The garden is available for your use and is very private with a small table and chairs , there is a fridge if required and a kettle etc. The breakfast is the best we had in France, with fresh squeezed Orange juice, fruit, cheese and a croissant and pastry. If the weather is good you can have breakfast outside. If you are cycling on Velo 6 etc he has a secure bike storage area. If you tell him what time you expect to arrive and your starting town don't be surprised to see him on the bike path to guide you to his place. I expect that this will be one of our best stays in our cycle across France.

originelle Lage und attraktive Unterkunft
Alles perfekt. Bereits beim Empfang durch Alain fühlten wir uns sehr willkommen und wurden gleich durch das schöne und originelle Zimmer überrascht. Wir durften die Velos bei den Nonnen im Kloster gegenüber sicher unterstellen. Das Frühstück war genial, mit seinen selbstgemachten Confituren und der lokalen Kuchenspezialität und der guten Gesellschaft durch Alain & Chantal

Der Vermieter mit Frau bieten ein sehr geschmackvolles Zimmer mit Bad an. An alles ist gedacht, seien es Erfrischungen oder auch ein Wasserkocher, um sich nach Wunsch Tee oder Kaffee zubereiten zu können. Es sind Stadtpläne auch in Deutsch und Englisch vorhanden und man bekommt Restauranttipps. Der Vermieter spricht sehr gut Deutsch, seine Frau Englisch. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet: selbstgemachte Marmeladen, selbstgebackener Kuchen, mehrere Sorten Käse, Honig, Obst, frisch gepressten Orangensaft, Joghurt und natürlich Baguette und Croissants sowie Kaffee oder Tee. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und werden hier wieder buchen.

Excellent séjour à Besançon "Chambre d'hôte Doubs Rêves" Emplacement idéal pour découvrir la ville. Nos logeurs Alain et Chantal étaient aux petits soins pour nous. Ambiance conviviale, à conseiller à ceux qui privilégient le contact humain aux relations impersonnelles d'un hôtel classique. Petit déjeuner agrémenté de saveurs de la région et des confitures maison faites par Alain. Nous ne manquerons pas d'y revenir si l'occasion se présente.
