"I was overwhelmed with the friendly charm of this extraordinary hotel. Astonishing value for money. So different from the soul-less concrete and glass boxes that normally await the travellers. The idiosyncratic, tasteful decoration is a treat for the eyes. Ben has an air of calm good humour that makes even the weariest arrival feel at home. "

"The property was great. Anderson at the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly. There was construction in the area which made finding the property a bit confusing but it's very close to the train station which was helpful. The area seemed pretty safe during the day, but a bit sketchy at night. The breakfast was great, everything fresh and tasty."

"You couldn't wish for a more central location in Ghent with soundproof rooms. There is secure car parking <250mtrs away, which is pricey but you are in the heart of the city. The hotel has a super eating area for breakfast and numerous other seating areas including a sun terrace for when you tire of walking. You are even overlooking an ex royal palace and gardens, which would be impossible anywhere in the UK. "

"Excellent location, room is clean. Very pleasant staff, the only issue was the shower head in my room 101 was in a very awkward spot and very hard to adjust. Other than that, we had a good stay and would stay again! "

"Eric the concierge was amazing! Truly made the entire stay memorable and worthwhile. He was diligent in sharing tips for navigating Parisian culture for dining and transit. The hotel was not only well preserved piece of history, the rooms were bright and airy with plenty of room. Accessing the hotel can a challenge, with narrow staircases and small treads. The elevator can only be accessed from the 2nd floor as a result of historical preservation of the building. If you have any physical disability this hotel is not suited for you. We knew this prior to arrival so were prepared for the oddities that accompany an older hotel. Location was convenient access for walking everywhere and metro when needed. We LOVED our stay here and will be back!"
