This was a beautiful hotel to stay in, located close to several forms of transport and a short walk from major attractions like Bryggen and Bergen Fortress. The room felt quite luxurious - VERY spacious and comfortable - and the breakfast buffet included in the price was full of delicious options.

The Neptun is in the centre of Bergen, within walking distance of local bars, restaurants, shops and attractions. Key things to know; Bed was very comfortable, shower was decent, breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold fare. I would stay again without hesitation.

the location was ideal. Breakfast offered an excellent range and variety of good food Our room 8005 had a nice view and 2 easy chairs to relax in, and also a fridge, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, all of which were not available in our previous hotel or usually found in tourist hotels. In general very impressed with everything about the hotel. It would have been nice to have the BBC world news TV channel, if possible.

Very comfortable bed and room. The breakfast was the most amazing. Staff packed a boxed breakfast for our final day since we had to leave early. My only complaint is that there wasn’t an electrical outlet in the bathroom or close to a mirror.

Excellent location, quiet rooms. There is a bar and restaurant on site, however neither were open on the Wednesday night that we stayed. Lots of disappointed, weary travelers! None of the staff members could explain why they were closed. The breakfast spread is very good, but didn't open until 7am. Too late when trying to get to the airport! If available, I would recommend staying at Scandic Byparken. Much better atmosphere, great staff and great location!
