This hotel is centrally located near everything. It’s a short 5-10 minute walk to the water and is in a quiet location. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve been to.

This property was pretty good. The room was clean and the location was very convenient. The reason I didn’t give it more stars is because the staff weren’t particularly friendly - in fact a couple staff at the front desk were quite rude. Also the rooms were a bit outdated but my kids liked the bunk beds in the family room.

It was difficult to sleep because of the street and bar noise on one side of the hotel. street noise does not quit until 3:30am. Had to open the window as the room would be too hot.

Great spacious rooms with good sofa bed size for 2 kids. Breakfast was exceptional, with so much choice. Only change i would suggest is having children's swimming on until 11am as currently only open for kids to swim 8 to 10am and we felt clashes with main breakfast times. Or have a 5-7pm slot too.

Outstanding Hotel with an Amazing Breakfast

Our deluxe room was super comfortable. The hotel is centrally located near the museums and a short walk to the shopping area and waterfront. The hotel serves an amazing breakfast. We had a fantastic stay and I highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed overnight on our way to board Havilla Ferry. The rooms were compact , but all we were looking for was a place to sleep and recover from jet lag. The breakfast was amazing! We could walk easily to shops, restaurants, and places of interest.

Perfect location, right by the Julemarkd and a short walk to the things I wanted to do. I was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. I would recommend the Hotel Norge highly and will stay there again.

Useless design and poor cleaning

Useless design not suited for a hotel. I want to live in a hotel, not a modern museum when I travel. Cleaning not satisfactory, the dust was flying around the door when I entered the room.

Overpriced and In Serious Need of Improvement

While Hotel Norge has a central location and a decent breakfast, my overall experience did not meet expectations, especially given the price. The room was quite small, with a centrally placed bed that made moving around somewhat inconvenient. Functional but not particularly comfortable for anything beyond sleeping. Additionally, cleanliness was lacking—dust was visible on surfaces, and the overall maintenance did not meet the standards expected of a hotel in this price category. More concerning was the inadequate housekeeping: For two consecutive days, the bed was not made; only the towels were replaced and garbage emptied, while the bathroom sink remained uncleaned and dust on the floor was left untouched. The used coffee cup and spoon were not replaced during my stay, which was particularly inconvenient as there was only one of each in the room. The overall cleaning standard is far below what should be expected, and the housekeeping service requires a serious overhaul to meet basic hygiene and comfort expectations. At check-out, reception said, “Weren’t you asked about housekeeping at check-in?" I wasn’t. No compensation was suggested. While the location is central, this is true for many hotels in Bergen, so it is not a unique advantage. Considering its high price, this hotel does not offer value for money.

The box with tea and coffee was full of dead skin cells from previous customers and household dust

The bed was never made during the whole stay. This was how the room looked without any service except new towels and dustbin emptying.
