Friendly and helpful staff, thank you guys.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable room, good breakfast with enough choice.
I'll definitely pick this hotel again when I'll come back.
Great location and experience! Felt like going back in time staying in a Hutong.
Was freezing in Beijing when I stayed and was nice and warm during our stay. The breakfast they offered was great with surprisingly great coffee
An amazing hotel in a quiet Hutong alley in Beijing, easily accessible by metro and to the airport. Excellent service with friendly staff, making us feel very welcome throughout. Able to help with queries booking tours and tickets. Excellent breakfast. A lovely hotel and one we can not wait to return to - would definitely recommend the honeymoon room!
I had an one night stay. It was a lovely traditional chinese courtyard. I highly recommend for travellers who are in traditional culture and authentic hutong experience.
Cozy little vintage hotel. You feel like transferred into ancient times. Great service level and good english skills of the team.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
A Hutong Hotel with character and with cosy inner yards and roof terraces. We were here in December and -10 C so… no, we didn’t hang out much there.
Walking distance to Metro station Dongsi.
Staff is wonderful, nice little breakfast buffet, quiet neighbourhood. A very good place.
The hotel is very traditional Beijing style. It is about 10 minutes walk to a subway station. There are lots of food options in the area. The staffs are very friendly. They order taxi for us and provide us tour information. I highly recommend this hotel
Expressing gratitude to Henry, Alyce, Fan, Tracy, Tina, Celeste, and Mr. Liu for their kindness and assistance. They provided thoughtful service in arranging tour appointments, taxi bookings, and offered valuable suggestions for shopping and dining.
This is a beautiful quiet place to wind down when you're in Beijing. I got it because the pictures looked appealing. When I got here, the hotel lived up to its expectations and more.
It is pretty close to a bustling area in Beijing but the actual area is pretty quiet. The whole hotel is giving off a museum vibe almost. The staff is always ready to help when i needed it.
Excellent place to stay! I am very impressed.
I spent one night in this traditional and authentic hutong experience hotel. The overall room facility and decoration were a bit out of date but were very clean and conformable. All its staff were friendly and always willing to help.
All in all, it is a traditional Beijing Hutong courtyard hotel offering high standard services to its customers. If you like traditional Chinese culture, it is highly recommended!
I checked in at around 2:30 am. It had been a long and frustrating day. And I was very hungry! The receptionist right away took me to the kitchen and offered me a bag of croissants! She was so kind and helpful. Overall the hotel was just what I was looking for. What a gem! It’s down an alley in a cute neighborhood. It gave me an authentic look and feel of the country (the building is 200 years old but very well maintained). It’s charming and clean. I love the open courtyard. The staff were all so friendly and they all speak good English. The bed and the room were comfy. Very good service. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Also the subway is within close walking distance.
My group was here for just one night in December when we got stuck in Beijing during the snow. We booked the room last minute on Expedia and showed up late at night. The reception was so friendly and helped us get settled in. Gave us water bottles too. The rooms are nicely decorated, comfortable, and I appreciated the tea set in the room as well. The next day, the receptionist helped us book a cab to the train station. The courtyard is nicely decorated as well with tables and chairs. I bet it would be enjoyable during the summer. I wish we had time to stay here longer to check out the other amenities like the restaurant.
It was a little hard for us to find at first. We had to walk down the alley for a couple minutes at night. We came during a snowstorm so the Didi driver was not comfortable driving through the narrow alley (understandable). I would recommend looking at photos before arriving so you know what the building entrance looks like.
My friend and I stayed at this hotel for about 5 days back in October. We were drawn by the old school Chinese villa theming of the hotel. It absolutely delivers on that experience while still providing modern comforts like modern bathrooms and clean rooms. The rooms are half-outdoor but we found the insulation, bedsheets, and AC/heat unit more than adequate at maintaining preferred room temps. Rooms are small but exactly as described in the listing description, so no surprises there. There is also outdoor seating at the patio and rooftops that were not often used by guests and very private and scenic. Breakfast had a mix of both eastern & northern Chinese/Beijing-specific options and western dishes.
The staff at this place is fantastic!!! Every worker was so kind and helpful. One of the receptionists, Alice, helped us book visits to the Forbidden Palace and Tiananmen when our phones failed to connect to WeChat. A lifesaver!
If I ever visit Beijing again I will stay here again for sure. I have already recommended this place to my family and other friends visiting the city. Absolutely lovely hotel experience.
Old fashioned and very atmospheric. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Chinese decor in the rooms. Located at n a quiet Hutong alley between two main streets that are full of dining options. Recommended!
