"Tropical private paradise. Beautiful rustic bungalow right on aqua waters. We came on off season and felt like we had the island to ourselves. There are kayaks to use as well. If you want more restaurants and life come in the main dry season. There is coral snorkeling nearby and an amazing indigenous guide and chef named Calypso who showed us all the local animals, sloths, monkeys, frogs, caiman and plant medicines. "The owner is wonderful, so helpful and communicative! Place is very quiet and safe (and im a solo female traveler) room is basic but all you need. Wonderful coffee is made in the kitchen every morning. Will definitely stay here again. "

"Carlos was very helpful with answering questions and just a kind man. Their is clearly a constant upkeep of the property. Location was good- though there might be an office closer to the boat docks because when we first arrived my map app kept directing me to the wrong place. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you:)"

"Overall, our stay was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have some dietary restrictions and they made sure to accommodate me. Room view was fabulous, it would be awesome it they had AC or at least a bigger fan in the room and a fan in the sitting area/second room. We also had a bat come in our room and that was terrifying so putting screens on the windows so you can sleep with the windows open would extremely helpful. "This was a Fantastic experience!! We stayed in the private cabana over the water. Jordania was great! He took care of us the whole time we were there. The food was out of this world. The Chef was Cheppie and he made fantastic menus for each meal. My wife and I highly recommend this resort for a romantic getaway. "

"Wow!!!!! Just wow!!!! This trip was such an amazing experience from the minute I walked in. I was dropped off with the taxi boat and came off to a beautiful piece of paradise!! I was welcomed with smiles and such kindness. I came on this trip alone but met such beautiful people and was never a dull moment. Andrea, Shari,Silvia,Juan, Joanni , maynor we’re so attentive and made me feel at home on this trip. They made sure we were all having a good time. They created such a beautiful environment here where I felt we were all just part of the same community. I loved the family dinners they coordinated that brought people together with great conversation, good food and fun games. We drank and laughed the night away. The only down side was no Ac but a jump in the pool and a cold beverage is just what you need. the night breeze and fan was just right to sleep comfortably. I was sad to go but will definitely be coming back. Thank you guys again can’t wait to see you again"

"Nice hotel in front of one of the nicest beach in Bocas del Toro (Red Frog). Staff is friendly, food is good and at a fair price, and amazing breakfast! They have different options of rooms for every traveler, I traveled with friends and we chose AC rooms with private bathroom and they were very comfortable. They also offer tours which are usually better quality than if you get it in town (Isla Colon). Would go back to El Palmar."

"What a wonderful stay. We had only booked 2 nights, but extended to 5 nights. The hospitality was amazing, Natalie, Jean, Anna, and Arturo were wonderful. The daily breakfast was appreciated, as was the wonderful dinner. There were 2-3 options each night. Kayaks, SUP, and snorkeling gear were provided Do not hesitate in booking this property. "

"The over water property is on the edge of the Old Bank. It’s easy to walk around and also to catch a water taxi from the dock. The room was well-appointed and bed was comfortable. Water pressure was weak, but not something that was a deal-breaker. The view of the water is amazing, and you feel very secluded. The staff were excellent and helpful. There is some noise from the wildlife and dogs nearby, which is unavoidable. "
