"We did not receive the check-in details via e-mail so could not check in and ultimately not stay overnight. The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. We had a look for help at the property but could not find anyone on two separate occasions; we were also astounded to discover that the accommodation was in the middle of a wedding venue and NOT the wedding we were attending. "The apartment was not very clean and had a horrible damp smell, really disappointed as it was not like portrayed in the pictures. Finger prints all over the walls and even foot prints on the roof (no idea how they got there). No cooking facilities, shouldn’t be advertised as an apartment if there is just a microwave, more of a room with a few extras. Would not recommend "

"A homely, comfortable property with everything you need for your stay. Communication from the owners was excellent before and during the stay. The house was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast left in the kitchen was well beyond what I expected - cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, cooked meats, yoghurt, juice and milk. "Do not stay here. Found hairs in beds, questionable stains on sheets, can’t explain the smell. Marks on walls, cracks in plaster that were more than hairline and damage everywhere. Needs refurbishing!"

"Looked nice and well appointed. Visit was for Doncaster Races with dad and two grown up sons. Marketed as 4 person place, however, comfort score low as the sofa bed was absolutely the worst and most uncomfortable thing to sleep on ever, 2 nights no sleep! "

"Property is self catering house at edge of the town. Spacious and decent kitchen. Road quiet (liked that) and easy access to nature reserve/countryside walks. Parking a bit of an issue but didn’t detract from our stay. "

"Served its purpose for a one night stop over, basic and a bit tired, stains on sofa and carpet, only one double sofa which sank when you sat on it so the third person had to sit on a hard dining chair. Basic utensils, no wine glasses but did have a gravy boat 😁 comfortable beds, met by the pleasant host, all in all fine "

Unexpected stay due to snow forecast!

"The staff were extremely helpful and wery happy to provide extra coffee tea and sugar. Extra duvet was brought to the room when asked as the room was very cold due to a sharp change in the weather. However we managed to get the room warmed up and didn't need the extra duvet by bed time. Bathroom sink soap dispenser was empty but a replacement was brought up immediately. So excellent room service!! It was an unexpected stay due to the weather forecast for snow and an early morning check in at the nearby hospital. The result was perfect, thank you."

"Fantastic hotel! Lovely room, I like that it had complementary shampoo body wash and conditioner as I’d forgotten to pack mine! Breakfast was delicious. Staff extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The view of the Racecourse was amazing. "
