"The staff at the hotel are great - super friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a king suite, which was large and comfortable. An extra perk was the sauna. We would definitely stay there again. "The property has style. It has the feel of the early 1900s, but, unfortuntely, not every room has been well maintained. Initially I was given a room that was not up to scratch and, because I wanted a bathtub, I needed to pay a sizable supplement. The room I then got was far superior to the first one in every way. I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions before and I still like it. But I am no longer convinced that it gives good value."

"The staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly and our room was clean and nicely decorated. Bed and pillows really comfortable. We had a front aspect with a lovely little balcony but you can hear the traffic and buses are noisy until fairly late at night. Breakfast has all you could want in terms of variety and the tiny little custard filled ‘balls’ with the sweet pastries were amazing! Rooftop bar is gorgeous, even in November but the drinks bill was the priciest we paid for our whole trip....

"The hotel is located in a great area of Rome! The hotel is super clean and comfortable. They were great at communicating, and helping me with everything I needed. They even added personal touches such as folding my jacket I left on the bed."

"We chose the Best Western Plus Hotel Universo as it is walking distance from the Rome train station. We were upgraded to a larger room with sofa bed. It suited us very well. The breakfast had a lot of options and staff was very attentive with coffee orders. We ate dinner one night at the restaurant which served some Roman classics and it was good. Overall, would stay again and recommend this hotel. "

"We found the staff to be helpful, breakfast was great and it was clean and modern. We walked everywhere from the hotel. Especially liked the rooftop terrace for a drink at the end of the day, the bartender knew his stuff as did all the staff. The view from the terrace at night was stunning. Will stay again.
