"Great hotel and very friendly staff. The outside pool is cold. Reception staff went above and beyond. We arrived at 1 in the morning and still got checked in after calling the out of hours number. Check in only took 5 mins. Walking distance to the beach although there are no pavements so you need to walk on the road. "

"We stayed in the hotel in the second half of June. We were in a King bed Room. It was large and comfortable, had a good balcony, large wardrobe space, a safe, and a large TV. The bathroom was not what one would expect. Although it was large, it had a shower over bath rather than a full shower; there was no bidet; and the toilet was far away from running water. "This is our second stay at a Barcelò hotel and a second excellent trip. We had an excellent stay at the Umbria Mar! The view from our terrace was an outstanding see view with plenty of space to move around. Although the bathroom area could be updated, the whole room was very spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable. All the amenities were spot on with a good size swimming pool, the most number of sunbeds I have ever seen at an hotel and the staff were incredible. Plenty of entertainment without it being pushy or over the top. As this is predominately a Spanish clientele hotel, it was very chilled out, a lot of talking and no loutish behaviour. We received a fantastic surprise from the hotel, with a birthday cake for my partner left in our room and a happy birthday message by email. Great touch and very much appreciated. Will be returning again as we loved staying here so much. "
