The property is right in the middle of a shopping district. Locals told me it was dangerous but i enjoyed the hustle of the area and had no problems. The biggest problem is the wifi, it only worked in the lobby as an international traveler its inportant to have access in room. No one wants to do business in a lobby.
We stayed in Hotel during carnival on FEB 2018. The hotel seems OK according reviews online but we had a very bad experience. Someone (from hotel staff because room was protected by room card) rob our room and steal cash from hidden pocket in our luggage. Also they copied our debit card and made some purchases online. We contacted the Hotel (we were in different town when we find out) several times and no reply at all. Stay away and look for other accommodation.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
it was dormitory accommodation
hotel staff were helpful and can speak English well on the other way the hotel was very bad. Breakfast satisfying but not a good as we expected. The worst was the room noise. Noise from street was acceptable because you are in the city but noise from hallways and other rooms were horrible. If someone walks by your room you can tell who it was and what he said and neighbours small talks were so noisy you could join the conversation easily. You definitely need earplugs to survive the night.
There was no reservation at check-in, had to send it to them. My confirmation promised a minibar, safetybox, but there was none, it was sent later after I insisted. TV had snow picture, so I had to change rooms. Took me 30 min to find the right room. Water in the shower was cold, as the water boiler was broken, after 2 days they installed an extra device in my bathroom to get hot water. The swimming pool was closed for repairs. The window could not be opened. The A/C stream blasted direct onto the bed, very uncomfortable. There was no bedside table light, had to get up and switch off the room light at the door and walk back to the bed in the dark. 2 days they did not clean the room. B/f was just soso, not much on the plate, went back still hungry. Outside area was dangerous at night, a lot of poor people hanging around, sleeping on the street, selling all kind of cheap stuff. Only the manager spoke a little English. Bellboy told me he is not paid well and will leave soon. Can not recommend.
