Great place
"Runa farm was a brilliant place to stay and i only wish i had more time there. the only thing i would say needed changing in my room would be to get a proper kingsize mattress or a topper so you can feel the zip and one of the chairs sort of blocks access to the shower"

Great little escape
"Property was larger than expected. It was clean and well furnished and provided a lovely break. Its in a very remote location, which is what we were looking for. Very dog friendly. some noise from the property upstairs but wasn't too intrusive."

The stunning Bowes museum is a must visit with a fantastic collection of paintings, ceramics and silverware. Great selection of small shops and places to drink and eat. Beautiful landscape.

The weekend we stayed 1940 themed weekend, whole community had got involved, shops, businesses, all dressed and decorated accordingly. Young and old had all participated lovely to see in this day and age real spirit of community.
