All was great until the ignorant owner of the hotel gave me crap for taking my bike in my room. Maybe he should train his staff better so they know where bikes go. Not a bike friendly hotel!

No sleep!
Our air con unit was portable type and its exhaust pipe was stuck with gaffer tape to an open window! We overlooked the street and on Saturday night there were drunks singing till 4.30am when the police finally moved them on. We couldn't close the window and so my husband had no sleep. (I only slept as deaf without my hearing aids in!) He went down to ask the concierge to call the police but he just shrugged and said its a Saturday night in Barcelona. Our friends had a back room but they had no aircon at all. On the info all double rooms are advertised as having aircon. I wouldn't have booked it if they hadn't.

Very pleased.
Loved the location. Less than a couple blocks to the bus, local train McDonald's and many other local food establishments. Staff was extremely helpful answering our many questions. Room was small but very new and clean. Breakfast was continental with enough variety to satisfy. Would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Barcelona.

You get what you pay for
There were bugs found in room. Not on bed but in bathroom. It appeared clean at first. There was a nasty guest that was just barely dressed no shoes on going to and from his room thats a bit ridiculous. One way road traffic taxis don't like to circle around to pickup out front. 34 euro taxi trip back to the airport. The breakfast had the same hard boiled eggs cold each day it seemed. The corn flakes were good. Staff was polite. I would seek a better hotel for the money if I stayed again. The room was lit well. The bed was comfy. The shower stall seemed really nice. Once the bugs were seen the second day it was over.

A nice modern surprise.
I was pleasantly surprised how nice and modern my room and bathroom was as it is a hostal. The staff I encountered were very polite, very helpful and even printed my boarding passes for me. Breakfast was continental, serials, toast, cheese, ham, juices, tea and coffee etc. The only issue I had, which is not the hostal fault, was the noise from people outside all night every night, shouting and banging, maybe it was bad because my room ( 304 ) was at the front of the hostal. It was convieniently placed to walk to Las rambles, and other areas, I even walked to the Nou Camp stadium to watch Barcelona, which took about 30 minutes. Overall I would stay there again, but maybe ask for a room at the back of the hostal. Recommended.

A pleasant hotel in a lively area of Barcelona. A very eclectic building, a bit of a maze finding our way to our room! However, a spacious room with a lovely clean tiled bathroom, shower a bit iffy but ok with practice. Double sinks, comfy beds. Our room had a balcony looking out to the homes and flats at the back. A surprising room, the hotel does not look like the photos due to refurbishments, but saying that it;s and improvement. Staff were super helpful, giving advice on sights and directions,. Wifi very iffy. Best down in reception! Breakfast buffet lovely, coffee and hot drinks machine, juice, toast and pastries. I really liked it here, so easy to reach all the sights. I do recommend.

The people in this hotel are very nice and helpful. They will explain everything about the city in the map and they will keep your luggage if you need. We had a good time here, it's close to the metro and Rambla and they serve a tasty breakfast each morning.

Excellent for the price and only a short walk to most of the main attractions as well as the cbd and even shorter walk to a few nightclubs, restaurants in the area are not cheap but they are the cheapest in the area as well as having a wide variety all very close by

Reception close to street. Beware
Nice location close to Parc de Montjuic. Clean hotel and friendly staff. I would strongly advise to watch your belongings by the reception as it's very close to the road. I had my day pack stolen whist checking in. The hotel staff were very supportive and allowed me to use their phone so that I could cancel my mobile sim card.

Great Staff, disappointing room.
While I would love to give the place a great review because the staff were really nice, the place was a total dump. It appears that they have recently renovated the place, there was rotting wood in the bathroom with the ceiling looking mouldy, hair all over the place, holes in the towels and they had taped the door so it wouldn't properly close (I assume because if it did, you'd be stuck). The beds were fine, but the sheets had stains on them. The location was very central, though, with only a few minutes walk to La Rambla and the room was big by European standards. The WiFi didn't work in our room.

This is a great place
This is a great place and once we got over the slight shock that the rather basic bedroom was almost windowless (one window looking out onto walls) we loved it. In fact, we went back for two more days at the end of our stay. Elegant, it isn't, but it makes up for it in lots of other ways. Bathrooms squeaky clean, everything works, the staff are really lovely, helpful and friendly, and a generally nice atmosphere. Also, very quiet at night. The location is great, the centre of Barcelona is all walkable from there. Absolutely recommend it and I hope to go back.
