"The room itself was very utilitarian - functional but not even any pictures on the institutional colored walls. Like many places we experienced in Thailand, the bed and pillows were very hard. The air conditioning was good and the shower was great. It was nice to have a little terrace, but no room to sit outside. "For starters, they have no parking, at all. Had to park in a dirt lot on another street, for 50 bhat a day. Stairs are so steep they are practically a ladder. The desk is barely manned. Their idea of service is leaving a case of water on the bottom steep do you can grab a bottle and carry it up yourself. There is no noise insulation, bar next door is very loud and stays open late. The laundry facility is a couple of pay washers sitting right next to the entrance. This is a1 star facility at...

"Wifi - did not work or slow Wifi - the password changes daily so you have to go and get a new one from reception every 24 hours(no one had explained this to us so we did not know why the wifi had stopped working). Wifi - use either phone or laptop NOT both.If you try you are kicked off. We we were placed in a room around the back from the main hotel. We had asked for a high room on the upper floors and were on the ground floor. No tea/coffee in the room. Overpriced."

Classy hotel with professional, friendly staff

"We stayed for 11 nights in a Club Room, (an upgraded standard room) that gave us extra benefits. This is well worth checking out. We made the most of them! The hotel was cool, classy and clean. The breakfast buffet had everything you could wish for. The bedroom was comfortable with a large bed. The sea view is also worth having. Location-wise the hotel is at one end of a very long bay/beachfront but it doesn’t matter as there are lots of pick-up truck taxis that you can hop on/off anywhere for just 10B per person. Such a great idea! There was some traffic noise. The staff are super professional. The Dusit Thani is a very good choice for a relaxing stay with a tou h of luxury. "

loved this hotel

"we loved this hotel. It was perfect for our New Year's Eve stay. We had a lovely room with a VERY comfortable bed. Wi-Fi was great. The view of New Year's Eve fireworks couldn't have been better, basically from our bed. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty available in the streets outside the hotel"
