I stayed 12 nights and would definitely recommend this property. It is unlikely that the few downsides for me would be relevant to other people but I am sure most, if not all, would appreciate the upsides. The location is ideal, directly on the seafront with a wonderful view out to a beautiful and fascinating area of Bangor, at the Long Hole. It is also as close as can be to the Tourist Office, attached to a historic Tower House, the McKee clock and an inviting array of shops and eateries on the main street. Parking is free and there is plenty of it, although it may be full directly opposite the B&B. It is a one way street, so take the first vacant space you come to! The premises themselves were faultless: spotlessly clean, smart, functional and comfortable. Wifi was totally troublefree. The quality and choice for breakfast was truly impressive. It is pre-ordered and delivered outside the room on the dot, with a knock to alert you (or occasionally to wake you)! The owner and host, Richard, really cares and it shows throughout the property. My only real difficulties were right at the beginning and largely due to my hearing problems and consequent avoidance of the use of my smartphone except for texts and emergencies. I would advise Richard to supply full check in details when he is absent, as other properties normally do, but his existing arrangements would suit most travellers and should not deter potential guests.
