the staff was nice and helpful. some of the hotel policies were strange. the rooms were supposed to be closed but there was a hole from bathroom to outside that couldnt be closed so it was difficult for the air conditioner to remove the humidity from the room. cleaning staff was good. furnishings were outdated and the place could use a coat of paint. outside it smelled terrible. not the hotels fault but the wet market was smelly and scary to me.

Convenient to shopping

Hotel is super convenient to street markets and shopping at the Mall Bangkapi. The breakfast buffet is presented as both American and Thai, on the American side it's not much, barely warm hard yolk fried eggs, (no salt or pepper for the eggs), chicken sausage which is really bland, corn flakes as your cereal option. Some of the Thai food is okay. We stayed in the suite, which was pretty nice. There was problem with the reservation being on the wrong days due to a glitch on the hotel com website, Pantip refused to adjust my days so I had to pay for a 4th night which is pretty crappy of them, it didn't cost them anything to change my dates to one day earlier. Lots of traffic around the hotel, outside is really busy but once you are inside it's pretty quiet.

Budget price, value where it counts

Decent location at the edge of the city. Amenities are basic. No microwave tho. Room was clean, hotel was no-frills, none of the extras that most folks dont use anyway (like gym, swimming pool, spa, etc.) Area around the hotel is a wet market, with even street sellers selling raw meat. Caught us by surprise. That said there's an overhead walkway below a nearby flyover that lets you avoid all the smell. You can use it to go to the nearby big Malls that have better shops and food. The mall the hotel is located in kinda smells because of the wet market and doesnt have much going for it except maybe a Big-C minimart and the Amazon Cafe. Dont recommend hanging around inside; the pickup point is next to the lobby and is convenient for Grab. Room service staff mostly know basic English. Place tends to see Chinese tour groups coming and going. Given all the points above it makes sense. Overall a decent enough and value-for-money place to stay if you are mostly using it as a place to rest during your trip to BKK.

The room was 3 huge rooms with double bathrooms Price was excellent! Great for families! With that being said it was on the 17th floor which I personally don’t like being that high up and room needs updating painting- trim is scuffed. Only there for one night and it suited our needs.

The Best place for local

This hotel is just right in the heart of Bangkapi where is local only. Surrounded by market of freshness and Mall and on and on and on.

Perfect local location

This hotel is right in the heart of BangKapi where is super local. Marketplace with super fresh fruits and vegetables is right there, the shopping mall is across the street, people around speak limited and or no English but its ok for me cuz I do speak some Thai and thats why I love this area and Pantip Hotel is Great for the price.

Hotel is attached to an IT mall that’s pretty quiet but has a nice coffee shop (Joe) and Thai massage choices. Adjacent to lots of food markets and close to the mall Bang Kapi. Hotel is kinda sad and dated but the ladies keep it clean. Rooms are large.

The entrance is on an overcrowded street and the street is narrow. Food vendors are busy in the small street 24 hours a day. The traffic is always busy.

I stayed for a month. Overall I'm pretty easy going so I don't need much. My room smelled a little musty. You're right next to market so be prepared for the smell. Transportation will be needed to go anywhere. Download the Grab app, it will be your friend.

Good hotel, Good location, Poor service

It was a very nice room, comfy bed, centralized AC, and a nice chair and desk to put my computer on. The location was good, though there's not much to see, it's very convenient, lots of malls and restaurants, the hotel itself is in a mall, though it's not a very good mall haha, the nearby malls are much better, there's even a few markets right next to the hotel. My main complaints are... 1. The room service was once a week, but they didn't really do anything, just change the towels and sheets. Even when my room was somewhat messy, they didn't clean it at all. 2. They didn't provide anything for the room, no water, no shampoo, no soap. The only thing i got was a roll of toilet paper lol and 3. The restaurant... It has a nice, decently priced restaurant that you can order directly to your room... the only thing is, i tried calling it several times during the open times, once at 12pm, a few times at 4 or 5pm, the restaurant is said to be open from 11-6pm, but when i asked at front desk they said "oh, it closed early today".I gave up having never ordered once from the restaurant in my 4 or 5 attempts in the 28 days i was there.
