"The staff was nice and courteous, it has a cozy restaurant and bar, pool, it is at the beach, the room was nice and clean. If you like surfing and the beach life, you will enjoy this hotel."
"Great value for family of four! We had two rooms for two adults and two teens.
Location was great - two minute walk to Manuel Antonio park, convenience store, souvenir shops.
Hotel restaurant - the breakfast that was included was fantastic. We ended up eating dinner there one night and it was good too.
Staff - quick responses via WhatsApp. Very helpful.
Beach - seven minute walk. Beautiful views ocean view from our rooms and from the restaurant. We saw two different types of monkeys from our room and from the restaurant.
Rooms - not the nicest, could use some updates, but the they were clean, cool, and the beds were comfortable. "

"Had an amazing stay here. Convenient location to both Quesop and Manuel Antonio via local bus or taxi. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bonus to have a little kitchenette area with a microwave, coffee machine and fridge. Lovely pool and rainforest view from the balcony. Managed to see some wildlife whilst relaxing by the pool including, sloths, toucans and monkeys. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was tasty too "
"We absolutely loved our time at La Mariposa. It was clean, conveniently located to great dining, quiet -- but by far our favorite was the view and the staff! The view is the most spectacular dining view we've ever seen. It's a wrap-around view of the mountains in the distance, the national park / rainforest to one side and the expanse of the pacific ocean. It's beautiful at both sunrise and sunset! Several restaurants in the area having stunning views of the ocean but absolutely none compare to La Mariposa and its onsite restaurant Le Papillon. It's truly jaw dropping. The pool and sunset bar share the view as well.
The staff were incredibly gracious, kind and accommodating. Alan at the front desk is an absolute gem of a person -- we adored him and he took excellent care of us. My wife and daughters also loved the resident cat Marina who the hotel has kindly adopted.
We were greeted by monkeys every morning when we walked out our door -- they always visit early in the morning and my daughters had the best time poking their heads out each morning and seeing the monkeys racing around -- some with babies on their backs.
A sloth took up residence in a beautiful almond tree that the kids would go visit each morning at breakfast.
We would stay here again in an instant."
