Great hotel in perfect location

Fabulous town, perfectly located hotel and terrific staff. Renovation of hotel was done 10 years ago and everything is in superb condition. Would be thrilled to have stayed longer.

On the river

The staff are very nice. The pillows, bed sheets and duvets are very comfortable. Book a room with a river view is a must.

Outstanding location in the pedestrian friendly old town center with many shops and restaurants closeby. Hotel is on the river and has excellent views including from our room. Histroical front facade. Nicely renovated and clean. Coffee shop had good coffee and excellent local deserts like Lebkuchen (gingerbread), Kurbis-Walnuss (pumpkin-walnut-cream cheese-cake), and Preiselbeer-Baiser (berry filled pie shaped cake with a merrangue topping). We parked in the big underground municipal lot under the garden-park in front of the turist office - a 5 minute walk. The helpful coffee shop waitress suggested a small local pub nearby (name: Kachelofen) on the way to the castle, cozy with loads of character and delightful local and traditional German dishes. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Hotel Nepomuk! Couldn't have asked for a more ideal location when wanting to explore all that Bamberg has to offer. The property does not have air conditioning (as with a majority of the buildings in the area) so be prepared for that! But the beautiful sounds of the river are a delight to hear through the open windows. Would recommend and would return!

Puristisch

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage und sieht von außen toll aus. Innen ist es sehr puristisch. Die freundliche Begrüßung und die vielen guten Tipps beim Check-in haben mir gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach gehalten. Nicht gefallen haben mir die Dusche und das Duschwasser (geringer Druck und permanent Wechsel von heiß und kalt). Schön fand ich die Möglichkeit einen Baum pflanzen, statt das Zimmer putzen zu lassen. Bei der einmaligen Nutzung der Zimmerreinigung hätte ich allerdings frische Gläser und Handtücher erwartet... Insgesamt stimmt für mich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht.
