We only had one night at the Wheatsheaf, as we were travelling around. It is very close to Chatsworth, was comfortable, and served excellent food. Our host was very welcoming

We enjoyed our stay for two nights in a great village close to everything in the Peak District. Breakfast is excellent and we enjoyed one dinner onsite as well. The staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

Nice stop in a lovely town
Beautiful historic setting, great food, indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking. It's at the village center on the main road, so you can hear a bit of traffic if the windows are open

The location is wonderful, close to Chatsworth and some beautiful walking country, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, accommodating and flexible when we asked for things. The perfect place to stay.

The staff were very friendly. The lady who checked us in (i think she was the manager) was extremely helpful and lovely. She made us feel very welcome. I would stay here again.

Within walking distance to Chatsworth House. Well priced dining and breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. No disabled access. A small in room fridge would have been nice. We plan to revisit the area and would happily book here again.

Quiet, cosy break
When I arrived the pub was very busy but the gentleman who showed me to my room was courteous and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was warm and cosy with the biggest comfiest bed I think we've ever slept in! Although our window faced the main road, the traffic noise was not noticeable. Breakfast was plentiful and the waitress was so lovely with my children. I would definately stay here again and make use of their restaurant next time.
