Bajondillo is a wide sandy stretch of beach fronting Torremolinos. Stroll along the beach’s dark sands and experience the waterfront’s humming atmosphere in the sunshine or after nightfall. With the gorgeous waters of the Costa del Sol and buzzing bars within easy reach, it’s easy to see why you could spend all day and all night at Bajondillo.
Spend some time walking along the beach’s wide sandy strip. Stretching 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) with an average width of 131 feet (40 meters), the beach has plenty of room to accommodate the numbers of vacationers that flock here during the warmer months.
Pick from the range of kiosks providing sun lounge rentals, as well as hammocks, beach umbrellas and watersports equipment. Recline in your sun lounge and take in the vista of the ocean waters. Go for a refreshing swim in the gentle waves. Fins and snorkel equipment are available for rent. Bajondillo is an official Malága nudist beach, so feel free to bare all.
Make your way to the beach’s waterfront promenade to check out the dining and bar scene. You’ll find a wide range of cafés and restaurants serving local fare and quick snacks. Take a seat on a stool at one of the bars and enjoy a beer or a cocktail with gorgeous ocean views. Many of these bars are open until the early morning, so you can enjoy the lively atmosphere well after sunset. Waterfront hotels, resorts and vacation apartments can be found along the waterfront promenade. Stay overnight for easy access to this popular beach and gorgeous ocean views. If you would prefer a quieter beach, make your way eastward to Los Alamos.
Bajondillo is located between La Carihuela and Playamar Beach in Torremolinos. It is easy to reach with a 10-minute walk from the center of Torremolinos or a half-hour drive south from Malága. Parking is available by the beach for free. There is lifeguard patrol throughout the summer months. Bajondillo has been adapted for access for visitors with disabilities. The beach is open year-round.
