"What a secret place mid-way between Sydney and Byron Bay. Gratefully the water park was closed, so prices were really reasonable, there were not many cabins taken up, super quiet and just beautiful surroundings uninterrupted by noise. The cabin is so clean and having 2 rooms plus that wonderful double bed bunk is so delightful. Full size fridge and freezer, full kitchen facilities. Excellent communications and they gave us the villa we asked for as well as allowed us to check out an hour later. Just perfect. Nothing at all negative about this place. "

"The Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn is a budget motel accommodation that deserves a four-star plus rating. The property is well-suited for families, couples, groups and travellers with limited travel funds. This stay is our third time here spread over three years. For our most recent one-night stay, we paid less than A$199 for a premium king-bed room equipped with a sizeable jetted bath tub that could fit two adults and an extra child or a petite adult. With this luxurious amenity coupled with a clean and spacious room, we scored a good-value-for-money accommodation in a beautiful yet highly expensive holiday destination in the mid-north coast in NSW. The property is well positioned in the heart of Port Macquarie; but despite the heavy vehicular traffic in the daytime, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful in the evening. We slept like a log! Foremost, the reception was pretty much simple and straightforward with check-in and check-out formalities. We provided booking details and bob’s your uncle. We received our room key promptly with a friendly smile from the front-desk staff and enjoyed a relaxing spa bath to unwind after a hectic day of sightseeing and high-adrenaline holiday activities. Macquarie Barracks has always delivered the best of everything for us. Thank you very much!"
