"The history and my Many past stays have always been excellent. This time the dining options were limited to one restaurant. The breakfast option became a continental breakfast. There was a storm that left snow and a lot of ice. My car was parked for 2 days and was plowed in. "The only the thing that was wrong was that the clock alarm went off at 6 AM and it took us a few minutes to shut it off. By that time I was wide awake. Perhaps it would be a good idea for the wait staff to make sure that the clock alarm is off when a new guest is coming in."

Hampton Inn Portland Downtown - Waterfront

Met expectations and then some!

"We were very pleased with the Hampton Inn Portland Waterfront. Our room on the 5th floor had a marvelous view of the harbor - we could have spent hours watching the ferries and tugs working! The room was spacious and comfortable and had sufficient linens for the 2 of us. The buffet breakfast offered a large selection of items, but some things (oatmeal, cheese omelets, and baked goods) were pretty mediocre; the waffles, scrambled eggs, and bacon were quite good. We applaud the efforts of Hilton to be ecologically responsible - but we do wish paper cutlery in the breakfast area were replaced with bamboo and foam cups in the rooms were replaced with ceramic mugs. The price for our long weekend stay was very reasonable. We will very definitely be back for another stay!"
