"A brief 1 night stay in this amazing historical monument. The hotel is beautifully presented, with good sized rooms, large and ultra comfortable bed and smart furniture. The hotel lobby area, bar and breakfast area is gorgeous. Interactions with staff were easy and pleasant, and nothing was a problem. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. "Upon arrival the assistant manager was extremely welcoming and gave us a map with things to do and grocery’s etc nearby. He was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and had all amenities needed. We really enjoyed our stay here, and we have no complaints! "

However I always get surprised, why very simple requests turn out to be so difficult to fulfil by the stuff. We had a deluxe suite with sofa bed for our child - which was not prepared when we got in. "This was our secomd time staying at the Ocean House and just like the first time we were placed on the 2nd floor and yet again the lift broke down. This was a disappointment as the climb up can feel tiring... that said, the best aspect of our stay was the tentative and excellent customer service from Nicolas! He is hard working and always smiling. The accommodation its self was nice and the main double bed is exceptionally comfortable. The beach is in walking distance and the hotel offers bikes...

"We had a great stay here, but it's probably geared towards younger customers. It's half a student hostel and half hotel. The staff are all lovely - really welcoming energy and provided many good tips for the area and places to see. It's really easy to get to from the central station or the HS station. And a really short walk in to the centre. The area around the hotel also has many great options to eat. The room and bathroom were both really comfortable. However the shower did have a drainage problem, it didn't get hot enough and it was a bit on the small side. Overall we really enjoyed our time here!"
