"Friendly and lovely place. Our room was small but it had everything we needed. Jo kindly left us croissants and yogurts for the morning and was very flexible with check-in. Askrigg is a beautiful village. It’s certainly worth a visit if you are a fan of James Harriott!"

"Village location in the yorkshire dales. Parking available but not guaranteed immediately outside of the apartment. Simple kitchen, but good enough to make meals. Comfy beds (2 doubles), good bathroom and living area (also has a sofa bed). Perfect for a weekend away to explore the local area. Would stay again."

"the room was not warm enough and although mentioned to the staff, it was some time before the heating was sufficient. The tea maker was in a cupboard on the floor. This is the first time I have encountered this in a hotel, This was not easy to make the first cup of tea in the morning. "It was an amazing stay, staff lovely and helpful, food was great in restaurant, rooms were really nice too, only negative would be bathroom! Tiles broken on floor where toilet is and window need a blind or curtain as tge frosted stickers are peeling off and people can see into bathroom! However this did not take away from an amazing stay. Anyone using pool should probably be made aware pre visit that you need a padlock for lockers also."
