"We had a wonderful stay at the Rafkos mansion. Stelios the owner took us wherever we needed to go and we had delicious meals at one of the local restaurants. It would be wise to have a car because it’s in a village about 30mins. from Heraklion. Stelios is the definition of Greek hospitality! "

"This house was so adorable! We were running extremely late do to a change in our flight but the owner stayed up to greet us. She showed us around the village and where the stores were. Even offered to check on us if we needed it. The house itself was cozy and well kept. We had the pleasure of having a nice dog hang out outside our door. We did run into some issues back home that caused us to have to leave early. The owner was very kind and even offered us a deal so our money wasn't going to be waste for when we return. I'm looking forward to coming back once everything back home has settled down. Thank you so much for the amazing time. I live in the mountains and this truly felt like home. "

Stunning views and friendly service

"One of the loveliest hotels we've stayed in on Crete, and excellent value. Our room had a breathtaking seaview and we'd return just for this alone. But the host, Harris, was also very friendly and attentive, telling us how to navigate down to the beach and town. Air conditioning worked like a dream and the bed was comfy. All in all a brilliant experience, and as we are frequent visitors to Crete we will be back. "

Great little hotel

"IDI hotel was a perfect little gem. First and foremost, the hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. They were always ready to assist. The rooms were very clean. What was most important for a family of 5, their family room had 2 full bathrooms/showers which made it so much more convenient. The breakfast was very tasty and plenty. The only minor complaint was the lack of parking, but that was more to do with the municipality than the hotel itself. If I were to return to Agia Galini, I would definitely stay there again."

Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Our room was wonderful, a family suite perfect for our family of four. Comfortable beds, balcony with stunning view, fridge, safe, excellent a/c and other essentials. Can't vouch for the other rooms but paying extra for the sea view is certainly worth it. "

"If you want a quiet mountain retreat, this is the place. Don't expect tourists, or tourist focused activities. It's a tiny town in the mountains. Perfect if you want peace, mountains, trails, and to meet real local people who aren't putting on a show for tourists."
