Mission Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Great to see the improvements taking place at this property. It was perfect for what my family required. Very comfortable rooms and excellent beds and pillows!"
"We stayed here for three nights with my husband and two sons. The apartment is well located for the beach, shops and restaurants.
There has been some effort to improve the apartment with the kitchen and bathroom looking relatively recently renovated.
Weirdly, in the second bedroom, there are lamps attached to the wall either side of the bed but they don't work because they are not plugged in - there isn't a single powerpoint in that room!
I found the apartment quite dark and not a really lovely place to stay during the day as there was also no view of any kind. Unfortunately, during our stay, the pool was under maintenance, otherwise, I would have spent time during the day sitting poolside.
The bed in the main bedroom could do with a new mattress. It sagged heavily in to the middle which made sleeping difficult. A new mattress would increase my rating."
"Best hostel I’ve stayed at in Australia! Staff are incredible (especially Sarah). Location is stunning - it’s remote but gorgeous. I would -*highly* recommend a couple of nights here on your East Coast travels and certainly better than staying in Mission Beach which is full of construction. Despite being so remote, the prices at the cafe are very reasonable and the food and drinks are great quality. Spacious rooms, lovely communal areas, good bathrooms. I absolutely loved it here and would definitely return if I found myself in the area again. Wonderful experience and great memories made. I will be shouting about this place forever!! "
"Warm welcome. Amazing setting with a river at their door step. Falling asleep to the sound of that river was magical. Fantastic conversations with both Peter and Steve. Great guys with amazing stories and great travel tips for my future camping spots in the Kimberley region. Yummy eggs on toast for breakfast and even better, a pea & ham soup that Peter gifted me for my journey. Peter that soup was a party in my mouth, so so delicious. I can't thank you enough. I will definitely be back. "
