"Tara View Apartments is a peaceful, beautiful property. The staff are helpful and congenial. The accommodations are shockingly good for such an economic option. Public transit and taxis are hard to come by, so car hire is recommended. That provided, there couldnt be a better place to stay in County Meath unless one absolutely must be able to get to the city by foot or bus."

"Wonderful overnight stay before a wedding near by. The accommodation was top class and in pristine condition. Beautiful ,bright, big room with a super comfy bed. Underfloor bathroom heating so cosy.Meals were delicious and all staff members especially the reception girls were A1,helpful and friendly.scenic grounds will not disappoint. "

"We had booked two nights at Trim Castle Hotel. There was an incident on the first evening which was very upsetting. We met with the manager Lucas the following morning who was extremely concerned and apologetic. In a matter of minutes he made us feel comfortable and handled the situation well. "Great location in centre of Kells with convenient secure parking to the rear of the hotel. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff on the front desk. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable in the newer rear block of the hotel. Our only small gripe was that the hallways and the rooms were far too hot for our liking! "We booked this property last minute. From the moment we arrived and met Deirdre, I had a feeling we were going to enjoy our stay. Deirdre is very warm and welcoming. We stayed in Applewood cottage. It is a beautifully appointed cottage, I couldn't fault it in anyway. It was clean, beautifully decorated and with a very comfortable bed. "Everything about Tankardstown is top notch, from the bubbly welcome you receive to every interaction with the most accommodating staff. We loved our two-level, lovely decorated cottage room that included a small kitchen. If you can get a room, don't hesitate to book. You'll love it. Next time I return I'm staying as long as I can!"

Food really bad

"The hotel was very warm throughout it was hard to sleep. The bed was done and the mattress leaned to one side. The food was really bad, we had to send it back. Ordered veg curry and they brought chicken, they changed it and all I got was a watery curry sauce full of onions and the rice was clumped together. The restaurant manager Shona was very attentive though I have to say. The pool and gym were nice and the cocktail bar was very good and the two Greek bar staff were super. The bar was quite dirty and dusty everywhere. "
