"We stayed here during our vacation in Oman, as a base to explore Muscat and the area around. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The hotel has an excellent location, is spotlessly clean, each and every staff member made us feel very welcome. Our room attendant took exceptional care of our room and made us feel like royals. We had a half-board option, which provided a wide variety of options for both breakfast and dinner. The wifi worked excellently. The gym was outstanding, providing the same equipment as top-end gyms in Western Europe. We will stay here again when we come next time to Oman"

"The hotel staff was courteous and the dining options were satisfactory. However, the rooms need a lot of work. The standard rooms are very much outdated and in need of a lot of maintenance, while the updated rooms suffer from humidity and a musty odor that permeates the corridors. Overall, our stay was mediocre at best, but the pleasant demeanor of the staff somewhat compensated for the shortcomings."

"Mutrah central location is great for the touristic activities. For the remote Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the reception was helpful in arranging a taxi. As the other review wrote, basement bar noise continued around 4 a.m. though I was on the 4th floor and the noise might have been bearable somehow. The reception seemed not familiar to the Expedia pre-payment arrangement. So, you may be better to have your Expedia booking confirmation handy. Hot shower needed more than 5 minutes to come out. I was close to bear with cold showers. So, you might have to get yourself prepared, accordingly."
