The Anse Royale beach is a 5-minute walk. We took the bus twice but it was stressful, and so we decided to drive to the west side of the island. "Nice comfortable place with a great view. Well equipped units with all one needs in a self-catering place. Attentive host, good service. Although self-catering we could include breakfast with our booking which was convenient. It is a bit off the bus route and therefore better to have own transport. But the host also offers airport transfers and local rides at reasonable cost."

"Excellent dining options for those of us on halfboard. Really good sommeliers with an extensive knowledge of their long winelists. Loved the squashcourt. Beaches (public) were amazing, and even if waters became shallow on South beach during tide, swimming was brilliant. Nice rooms with everything you need, and no fuzz with refilling coffee, drinking water. Simply the best."

Great Value but Not Luxurious

"Coral Strand is one of the only hotels that truly is on the beach. The hotel in general needs updating badly but the amenities served their purpose fine. We asked for well-blended piña coladas, but the staff did not understand how tourists prefer their drinks. Mahek restaurant is the best for lamb curry. Find other food elsewhere."
