The hotel was just ok. It looks good on the outside but it requires updating on the inside. The mattress on the pullout was uncomfortable. We stayed for one night, so it was just ok.

The hallway smelled like cleaning supplies, there was no option for room service, and when I called the front desk for towels I was told to bring my dirty towels to the front desk and exchange them.

We have stayed here many times and are going to be renting a unit as a "home away from home" for my son's hockey season. It's close to Biggby Ice Cube, Michigan stadium, Yost, and all kinds of shopping and dining options. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but does have a snack pantry and coffee, and the Colonnade shopping center across the parking lot has a Panera. They are super dog friendly and we love the artwork throughout. Staff has mostly been friendly and helpful. The only things we don't like are that the hallways don't always smell great, and the smokers congregate outside the entrances (both cigarettes and weed.) I have a smoke allergy so I have to wait till they're done before I can go in or out. It would be really nice if the hotel could move the ashcans and benches farther out for the guests who don't smoke.
