"First, on the day we arrived, that night we had to change rooms because the bath tub was leaking water all over the bathroom floor. Also, the toilet lid was broken, the air conditioning had a loud noise and wasn’t cooling property. On the second room, the same happened with the air conditioning. "Asalem is a great place to relax. Very friendly, great views, quiet. Problem for people that have issues with stair climbing as located on a hill and to get to rooms steep stairs have to be dealt with. Bungalows are beautiful and on 2 levels. To get to main bedroom again steep staircase. Bathroom is on lower floor so if you have to get up at night starir case awaits to get to bathroom. Besides the stairs the hotel is great. "A very nice hotel in Angra. Valet parking was a real plus. Breakfast options were plentiful, and the topmost floor had a lot of space to hang out or work. The area offered a wide variety of dining options within walking distance. Despite the name Angra Beach Hotel, it is not located by the beach, but it offers a free daily pass to a very nice beach in the Ilha da Jipoia. I will stay at this hotel again if I am ever back in Angra."

"In November 2023 my wife Samantha and I embarked on a 4 month tour of South America travelling through 5 different countries.
