Immaculately clean, helpful to a fault, nothing is too difficult to organize on your behalf and OMG the breakfast is more fit for a king than us minions. "the property is located at a very quiet and beautiful location surroundings are just lust green , sana the host is so humble and helpful he will make you feel like family , the breakfast is very delicious , his family stays around 50 m to your lodge so you can contact him easily . rooms are very big and clean balcaony is great for having a cup of coffee , with humming birds roaming around , besides is the big lake , overall a great deal for the price , i am happy with the deal. booked this lodge...

"Hotel in the jungle with a rustic charm. Room was good with a comfortable bed. Lots of ants in the room initially but I suppose being in the jungle that’s to be expected! Restaurant food was plentiful and delicious. We stayed three nights and we didn’t get bored as there was a good varied choice -buffet or the a la cart menu-. Pool towels available and the attendant keeps the pool side nice a clean, especially with his endless battle with cleaning fallen leaves up. Bar staff were very friendly...

"Very nice place. Simple. Nothing fancy. Great for backpackers. The staff is very helpful. I think they are not always on site but easily reachable by whatsapp and quick to respond. The breakfast was excellent. We were able to walk to sigiriya rock. There are some good dining options nearby. The road is a bit dangerous to walk on at night because of traffic."

"We had three nights here. The temperature during the day was very hot and humid, as were the nights. Hibiscus villa has air conditioning and a fridge, which helped to make our stay comfortable. Service is very helpful. We needed a car and driver and this was arranged for us at short notice. Better to give a few days notice. Breakfast on the patio, surrounded by fruit trees and other plants was nice. Room is basic, but comfortable. If you choose to stay here you will be well looked after. "

"The staff were all very helpful, and we felt very welcome. They organise a safari trip and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was amazing The hotel was undergoing some minor restoration but this did not interfere with our stay."

"This was one of the most friendly hotels that we have stayed in for a long time. All of the staff seem to have a genuine interest in making sure that we had a good time and made the most of our stay in Sigiriya. They also organised a couple of trips for us - to Polonnarua and an elephant safari. The first of these was a fascinating day visiting a former capital of Sri Lanka and the second was an afternoon seeing more than a dozen different herds of elephants, some of them just a few metres away...

"Staff was excellent. She made special vegetarian food for me. Lot of greenery. Room is ok not that great. Too many insects because of bushes and trees all around the property. Gieco running on the floor of the room. Had to go to the front desk every time for service. No phone/TV in the room. No light switch above the bed. Had to go to the front door to turn off lights and walk in the dark to the bed. Not convenient at all."

"Great atmosphere, decent room, food was good. As I had an early morning start, they packed a breakfast which was nice. Only downside was the a/c didn’t work very well so the room was too warm and they should upgrade their pillows. They were terrible. "

"Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com. "

"Amazing location. Clean, beautiful views, nice room. Staff was not super helpful in terms of the attractions around the area. They were helpful in “hotel” ways though. Food choice is EXTREMELY limited but that goes for the entire town so staying elsewhere wouldn’t have helped."

"This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food. We really enjoyed our time there, certainly a place to disconnect in the middle of the island "
