"This is a beautiful old hotel with classic marble and wood decor, which does show its age a bit but in a charming way. The location is close to the station which was handy for an early flight. The rooms was a very good size for Amsterdam, it was well equiped with good coffee, excellent bathroom. The price was very good for this quaility of hotel. Above all the staff were fantastic. I would definately stay here again, and recommend it to others."

"Great location and room overlooking the canal. The location was quiet yet central. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were upgraded! The kitchen area is fantastic (dual hob, microwave and dishwasher), the bathroom very spacious with a shower and separate huge bath! The bed is very comfortable, and it’s good to know they regularly clean and antibac the mattresses. The guy at reception was very helpful with letting us know the best areas to visit, giving us detailed map information....

From the checkin where they were able to get me a room early in the morning (In was traveling from NY on a red eye), to the 24 hour in room dining, to the wonderful spa, a clean gym and one of the best cocktail bars in Amsterdam, this hotel had everything. "We booked the room at the top floor. It's beautiful and HUGE, with a great view of the canal. Loved it. Very romantic. Included breakfast is wonderful, fresh and yummy. Just one weird thing, the first cup of coffee is free but they charge for a second cup of coffee. At the price of this room why ask guests to pay for a second cup of coffee. Seems a little petty."

"Everything was absolutely perfect except for the heating/plumbing/electrical. Shower drain barely worked, bottom of shower filled with water. Sink faucet handle slowly leaked water when turned on. Heat was on but room still felt quite cold, so maybe a bit under-designed for the space. Some of the lights upstairs did not work so the upper loft area was a bit dark. Just not stuff you would expect to be wrong at a place as nice as The Dylan."
