"Sonesta was a great stay after a long day of travel. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. I appreciated that the room got very dark to sleep in. The bathroom also had a heat lamp of sorts which made me feel like a warm little lizard in a perfect terrarium while I got ready for the day. "

"Staff was courteous and helpful. Check in/out was easy. For a building of it's age it was in good repair and well maintained. However, to say my mattress was uncomfortable is an understatement. When I sat on it it appeared thick, but was the most flimsy thing I've slept on short of a cheap pull-out couch. Rooms were fairly sound proof from neighbors. Took an Uber there, but there seemed to be ample parking. Continental breakfast was offered and looked well stocked but I opted not to eat. ...

"PERFECT location. The "character" was spot on for why we were in Salam. Lots of historic charm and character. But if you're looking for updated comfort this isn't your hotel. Think peeling wallpaper, old carpet, tile and grout and small spaces. "

"Zack was the best! Offered suggestion for dinner and was fantastic! Very helpful throughout my stay. Only odd thing was toilet was located in other area of room from sink and shower. No shelf for shampoo etc in shower. Drinking Glasses were sitting upside down directly on sink. No parking at hotel. Have to walk approx 3-5 mins with your luggage to get here. "

"Chef Dan and Kamden made our morning breakfast buffet experience even more enjoyable! Food was delicious and we loved how hospitable they were. John greeted us upon arrival and made some great recommendations about restaurants and touring Gloucester. We stayed in the Inn in room Sunnyside up on third floor which had such a comfortable bed! There is some traffic noise so bring air plugs. The view from this Inn is soothing and cozy. The Crane Estate in Ipswich and the Hammond castle are a must...
