"The house had a very typical Cuban style and is very nice and we’ll taken care of. It’s situated in a poor neighborhood but VERY safe as well! "When we arrived we were told there was an issue with the toilets and could not check in to the villa. This was after a long flight at 9pm!! Whilst waiting, other guests arrived that told us they had booked the villa and were allowed in!! Clearly these people are con artists. Took over an hour to cancel and rebook a hotel in Havana. Ruined our holiday. Do NOT book at any cost."

"Juanita was a lovely and very generous host. Everything was so homely and the food (breakfast) was great. The place was just fabulously relaxing. The host organised our taxi to san Juan and vinales but choice is limited so we had to ride in a colectivo (shared taxi) All I would say is that it is good to have a car if you want to make trips to San Juan and saroa "

Lovely hosts

"The host was super helpful and booked us into the fab vegetarian restaurant in the village. The air conditioning and bathroom were good, the bed was not very comfortable tbh but it was only one night. Beware, the map does not give the correct location in the village, we cycled aimlessly around for almost 45 minutes trying to find it. "

"We had a lovely stay on this pastoral farm with Estrella and Santos. Estrella went the extra mile to make sure we were well fed. All the food served is grown on the farm .. including coffee and honey. We had lovely fresh fruits each morning including papaya, soursop, mango and carambola. Estrellas brother also taxied us around the area whenever we asked. Thank you "
